Black Herbert Terry 1227
This timeless classic is a Herbert Terry and Sons 1227 lamp. This lamp has been electrically restored using a high-quality, 3-core braided fabric cable. Complete with safety bayonet bulb holder and low energy bulb.
This particular lamp is a fine example of an early Herbert Terry 1227. This can be seen from the roll-lip shade and the steel linkage strip. This lamp has had its paint touched up in a way to emulate the original finish. Overall, the finish is slightly more matte than an original, but a fine example.
This lamp comes complete with a low-energy LED bulb, a standard British 3-pin plug, and a silver switched bulb holder.
Please study the photos as they form part of the description. There are a few age-related marks (mainly to the arms which are original paint) that are to be expected with a lamp of age but this has been retained as the paintwork on the lamp is all original.
This lamp is being sold as a highly original example that shows its industrial heritage through its signs of wear. This heritage has been retained purposefully to retain originality for this rare and quality lamp.
